CAT 1 quick hitch adapter bushing is a small metal insert designed to adjust the lower link connection point on the tractor from one size to another, so as to use different sizes of hitches. CAT 1 mark refers to the size of the hitch, which is the standard size commonly used for small tractors in agriculture. For example, if a farmer has a large accessory that requires a CAT 2 hitch, but only one tractor with a CAT 1 hitch, an adapter bushing can be used. The bushing is used as a connector to allow accessories to be used with smaller hitches. Most Cat 1 quick hitches require a bushing to be installed on the lower pin in order to adapt the attachment to the quick hitch. They will be installed on any 7/8-inch pin to accommodate any Cat 1 quick hitch that requires bushings.
