The FF torque limiter is a coil spring clutch used to limit the amount of torque delivered at a calibrated value through slippage of the friction discs but maintain power delivery. It also helps absorb peak torque during the startup of machines with high inertia.
Torque limitation is guaranteed by the sliding of the clutch pack on 2 or 4 special material (asbestos-free) discs. The value of the calibration torque can be adjusted by modifying the compression height of the coil spring. Available with 2 or 4 friction discs. Works in both directions of rotation.
