Comb-like Discs/Rings: Along the surface of these V-shaped rollers, there are a series of closely spaced, independent discs or rings, resembling the teeth of a comb. These discs are typically made from durable, wear-resistant materials like rubber or steel. Cleaning Action: As the conveyor belt passes over the V-shaped comb idler, the individual discs rotate. The gaps between the discs, combined with the rotation and the pressure from the belt, effectively dislodge and shed sticky, wet, or abrasive material that has adhered to the underside of the belt after the discharge point. Tracking Assistance: The V-shape itself provides a natural self-centering action.
When the belt starts to drift off-center, the angled rollers generate a force that guides the belt back towards the middle,
