Product Description

Because of the characteristics of worm gear and worm drive, the material of worm not only has sufficient strength, but also has better antifriction, wear resistance and scuffing resistance. Therefore, brass is often selected as the worm gear, which is consistent with the hardened steel worm. The common materials of worm are carbon steel and carbon steel. The worm with high speed and heavy load is usually carburized and quenched with 15Cr and 20Cr, or quenched with 45 steel and 40Cr; Worms with low speed, medium and light load can be quenched and tempered with 45 steel. Worms with high accuracy requirements need to be cut. The common material of worm gear is tin bronze, which is suitable for transmission with higher rolling speed of tooth surface.
