Working Principle:

The machine operates on a simple and robust principle. It consists of an enclosed rectangular trough or casing. Inside this trough, an endless loop of chain is equipped with a series of transverse plates called "scrapers" or "flights." A motor and reducer drive a head sprocket, which pulls the chain and scrapers through the trough. Bulk material is fed into an inlet at the lower end of the conveyor. As the chain moves, the scrapers catch the material and "drag" or "scrape" it along the bottom of the casing, moving it in a continuous mass towards the discharge outlet at the upper end. The enclosed casing contains the material, allowing it to be pushed uphill efficiently without spilling or creating dust.

Applications The Climbing Movable Scraper Conveyor is a vital piece of material handling equipment primarily used in industries such as mining (especially underground coal and mineral extraction), construction, port terminals, agriculture, and power plants. Its main role is to transport bulk materials—like coal, ore, sand, grain, wood chips, or industrial sludge—horizontally, and more importantly, at a steep incline or vertically. It is the ideal solution for transferring materials from a low point (like an underground hopper) to a higher discharge point (such as a silo, truck, or another conveyor) where standard belt conveyors are not feasible due to space or angle limitations.
